Update, May 11, 2020 4:20 p.m.: From the icy blue Mountain Dew Frostbite to the bright blue Mountain Dew Atomic Blue, the shades of blue we've seen Mountain Dew embody over the years are as endless as the flavor combinations.
But none is as distinctive as the midnight blue-toned Mountain Dew Liberty Brew, which claims to combine 50 different flavors in one single drink. Which brings us to the good news: This soda, which actually tastes like berries, is making a much-anticipated return this summer.
While the product is already listed on Walmart's website, our friends at Best Products confirmed that it will be back on store shelves by mid-June. Walmart has the beverage listed in multiple sizes, including single 20-ounce bottles and 12-ounce cans in 12-packs.
The labels depict the Statue of Liberty riding a motor cycle. If that wasn't enough to make you feel patriotic, the bald eagle and Liberty Bell can be spotted in the background, too. All you need to do is buy some vodka to spike this soda, and July 4th is on!
Original: May 30, 2019 10:01 a.m. Mountain Dew celebrates the summer with limited-edition flavor releases. Last year, they brought back Baja Blast after a 2-year hiatus, and in 2017, we were introduced to Dew-S-A. For the 2019 season, we’ll be sipping on Mountain Dew Liberty Brew!
We first heard that the midnight blue-colored soda was supposedly coming out back in January, and now the time has come. The packaging says “50 Flavors in One,” and since the label features eagles and the Statue of Liberty, it’s fair to assume that there are 50 flavors for the 50 states (although we’re not so sure how there could possibly be 50 flavors in here). Instagram accounts began posting pictures of the Mountain Dew on store shelves over Memorial Day Weekend, so this beverage is ‘Merica-approved.

Now, will you like the flavor? According to @candyhunting, “it tastes like a combination of grape and berry with a tropical fruit note.” Another Instagram account said it tastes like a mix of Mountain Dew Code Red and Mountain Dew Voltage. And another said it tastes just like Pepsi Blue. Moral of the story? Just try it for yourself and see.
