Just a week after police officers arrested a man who was allegedly living in the attic of a Tennessee home — right above a 14-year-old girl's bedroom — he was arrested for doing it again. The man, identified by police as Matthew C. Castro, was spotted by the minor’s mom standing at the top of her staircase last weekend.

The mom reportedly yelled at him to get out, but Castro had already run into her daughter's bedroom, hid in an attic space, and refused to come out. She called the police, who arrived and arrested him.

It is believed that Castro, 18, was involved with the woman’s underage daughter. According to the Mt. Juliet Police, he was secretly living in the attic space in the girl's bedroom and would come down at night and lock her bedroom door, WHNT reports.

Mt. Juliet Police Capt. Tyler Chandler shared more information in a press release on Thursday. “Eighteen-year-old Matthew Castro was found hiding from officers under Christmas decorations in an attic space, and while resisting officers, a Taser was deployed," Chandler wrote. "Castro was previously charged with Aggravated Criminal Trespassing back on June 2, 2019 for unlawfully entering the same home, and he appeared in court today on those charges."

This week, Castro was charged with Aggravated Criminal Trespassing and Resisting Arrest. According to Fox17 Nashville, the young girl has been involved in ongoing “runaway and unruly child investigations.”
