Mom catches toddler son walking like his grandma, and TikTok can’t handle the cuteness
A mom went viral on TikTok by showing her toddler-aged son mimicking his grandmother’s walking style.
The adorable video was posted by @sumala.cwong, and it’s been viewed almost 2 million times.
The TikTok shows the filmer’s tot walking around with his hands clasped behind his back, as if the child was pondering the deepest questions of the universe.
“I was wondering why [sometimes] my kid [walks] around like this,” said the perceptive parent.
Whether the child was inside or outside, he would walk with his hands behind his back. But it didn’t take long to solve the mystery. It turns out that the boy was just copying his grandma’s walking style!
At the end of the clip, we see the boy’s grandmother in the living room, walking with her hands clasped behind her back. As the child walks next to her, the resemblance is almost uncanny. You never know the ways a grandparent can inspire a grandchild!
‘My heart can’t handle this’
As expected, the comment section loved the child’s adorable tribute to his grandmother.
“My heart is but a puddle,” said one user.
“This is the most precious thing I’ve seen on this app!” said another.
“I knew immediately grandpa or grandma [was] around somewhere,” said one user. “So many littles in my neighborhood walk like this with their grandparents, it’s so sweet.”
Other viewers pointed out the toddler’s walk gives off some serious “I’m in charge” vibes.
“He was a prince/king in a previous life,” said one admirer.
“He’s doing the quality control walk, making sure everything is in order,” said another viewer.
He may become an important leader one day, but for now he’s just adorable!
Studies have shown that close relationships between grandparents and their grandchildren can have lasting positive effects on both parties.
