Molly Shannon, 56, struck a rare bikini pose while enjoying a day off in Hawaii.

On Tuesday, the Saturday Night Live veteran posted two Instagram photos of herself posing on a beach wearing a red bikini with an orange sweatshirt. “Aloha and Mahalo,” she captioned the image, using two Hawaiian phrases that convey affection and gratitude.

The actress is currently on location filming The White Lotus for HBO, a six-episode series that chronicles the adventures of employees and guests at a tropical resort. Shannon’s co-stars include Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge and Lukas Gage, who went viral last week after director Tristram Shapeero was caught on a Zoom call insulting his apartment. After Gage posted the footage on social media, Shannon, along with other celebs, came to the actor’s defense, calling Shapeero “lousy.”

“...the little orange jacket does wonders for a LADY of a certain age,” she joked in the caption. “annndddddddddd i’m 50. 50 years old!! i can kick stretch and kick!”

With bikini photos a rarity on Shannon’s Instagram page, celebrity pals Kate Walsh and Amy Sedaris left compliments and fire emojis under the image. Many commenters also made the same joke calling her a “superstar.”

Shannon, who married artist Fritz Chesnut in 2004, turned 56 in September, shortly before her daughter Stella’s 17th birthday. The proud mom commemorated the event with an Instagram post that listed a handful of her favorite childhood memories. “I love being your mom,” she wrote.

Whether any of these recollections include impressions of her famous Superstar character Katherine Gallagher, is doubtful. Shannon once told Access Hollywood that the 1999 film featuring her SNL Catholic school girl character isn’t as much of a hit at home. “I’ve never showed them [Mary Katherine Gallagher], but I have to start showing them because other kids have seen it, so they’ll come up and go, ‘Do you do ‘Superstar’?’” Molly told the outlet. “And my kids are like, ‘What are they talking about?’”
