Don't you...forget about them. It's been 37 years since The Breakfast Club came out, but it seems that two of the film's stars—Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy—have remained close ever since they finished filming in that school library.

Ringwald made a surprise post on her Instagram earlier this month, where she revealed that she had a mini reunion with her former co-star. “Early Christmas present—dinner with my psychic sister Ally,” Ringwald wrote, along with a smiley face with hearts emoji.

In the photo, the two actresses were captured at a restaurant, where they stood and hugged one another. Sheedy sported a gray coat and black-framed glasses, while Ringwald rocked a burnt sienna coat (that matched perfectly with her red hair).

Fellow celebs showed their excitement in the comments, like My Big Fat Greek Wedding actress Nia Vardalos, who wrote, “Squeal!!!!!!!” Meanwhile, fashion writer Christene Barberich commented: “Just fainted.”

This reunion is even more exciting on the heels of the news that Ringwald and Sheedy will be acting together again.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Ringwald will make a guest appearance in an episode of Sheedy's Freeform series Single Drunk Female, where she will portray Alice, the sister-in-law of Carol (Sheedy).

In response to the news, Sheedy told the outlet, “Molly is such a meaningful friend to me and we've only grown closer over the years. I delight in her company so working on our episode together was a joy. And I think she's brilliant… so there's that! Very grateful for her work on our show.”

Meanwhile, Ringwald said, “Acting with Ally Sheedy is like being with a member of my family...Getting to be on set with her again was one of the best parts of my year.”

We can't wait to see these two together on screen again.
