In The Know’s very first digital covers are here! Debuting on June 18, the digital cover stars include Pose actress Mj Rodriguez and artist and author Chella Man. For the interview, the two starlets sat and discussed everything from fame to identity to splurge purchases and personal identities in honor of Pride month.
The covers were shot by photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis at Smashbox Studios in LA, and honestly… it’s the hair, skin, nails and more for us. Keep scrolling to get all the details on some of the makeup and where you can shop these looks.
Chella Man
To prep the skin, the makeup artist used Cosrx and HAN Skincare Cosmetics, which gave the skin a youthful, dewy appearance. Remember, your skin care routine is just as important (if not more important) than any makeup.
How to get the look
To get this glamorous face, Chella Man wore the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30, a perfect solution if you want coverage without feeling cakey or overdone. For additional coverage, the makeup artist added Dear Dahlia Skin Paradise Sheer Silk Foundation, which gave the skin a luminous, silky finish. To brighten and smooth out coverage for the undereye area, the team applied Clé De Peau Concealer SPF 25. It is an honest reminder that yes, even your concealer can and should have SPF! They also used Hourglass Ambient Lighting Finishing Powder to finish off the entire face.
For the lips, Cle Cosmetics Melting Lip Powder delivered that tinted pigment for the cover, and it dried down to a gentle matte finish. Voila! A masterpiece.

The wonderful thing about Mj’s makeup look is that it can easily go from day to night in a flash. Here’s how you can recreate their makeup look (and how to transition from day to night).
How to recreate the look
Go in with your dewy foundation of choice, like the Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever or the Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation.
Flush the cheeks with a bit of bronzer that gives you a warm, golden finish. A great go-to is the Tower 28 Bronzino powder or the Milk Makeup mini matte bronzer stick. Pro tip: You can take an eyeshadow brush and use that bronzer to warm up your eyes as an eyeshadow.
For the lips, go in with a peachy mauve lipstick or lip stain. Some recommendations? The Sephora Collection Rouge Lacquer Long-Lasting Lipstick.
If you want to heighten the look for the evening, contour the cheeks first with a contour stick. Go in with a product like Fenty Beauty’s match stix. For the eyes, go in the inner corner with a bright, rich color to add some vibrancy.
