Over the past few years, YouTube has become a bit oversaturated with “mashups” — videos, especially music vids and movie previews, recreated with clips from a totally different video or genre. It’s too much of a good thing., and seriously, we’ll be darned — darned! — if we’re ever fooled into watching another one of those irritating “Obama Sings ______” videos again. It’s e-nough.
Then again, there are some mashups that just feel so right. Like this one, which features Miss Piggy, of The Muppets fame, singing Rihanna’s payback anthem, “Bitch Better Have My Money.”
This version, which was created with love by New York Mag’s Vulture vertical, features some outrageous RiRi-esque fashions, a whole lotta attitude and sass, Rowlf the dog slaying it on piano, and a cameo by LeBron James. It’s clever, it’s hilarious, and it stars the most beauteous and feminine mangalitsa in the whole entire world. What more could you ask for?
