Miracles Happen: 'Princess Diaries' Filming Location for Sale

The recognizable San Francisco home featured in 'The Princess Diaries' is hitting the market for nearly $9 million.

Shut Up! One of the iconic filming locations for the hit 2001 movie The Princess Diaries is going on the market.

The extravagant San Francisco home served as the backdrop for the fictional high school attended by Mia Thermopolis in the cult classic Disney-produced film, which famously starred Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews, Mandy Moore, Sandra Oh, Heather Matarazzo and more notable names.

The home, an Italian-style villa built around 1923, has been listed for a whopping $8.9 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. It is being listed with Steven Mavromihalis and Jessica Grimes of Compass Real Estate.

Selling the property is Michael Mendes and his wife Wendy Berry Mendes, who purchased the home in 2009 for just under $6.4 million. Their daughter, who was seven at the time, was reportedly ecstatic over the purchase, as she herself was a big Princess Diaries fan.

“It was a bit unfortunate because we were trying to negotiate a good price,” her dad joked to WSJ.

The home spans roughly 4,500 square feet and includes a luxurious roof deck and four bedrooms, as well as a double curved staircase and a three-window Juliet balcony, the latter two of which are some of the most recognizable features seen in the film.

The fan-favorite film was followed up by a sequel in 2004, and The Princess Diaries 3 is currently believed to be in the works at Disney, though little details have been revealed thus far.

Back in January, Hathaway, now age 40, acknowledged the excitement surrounding the new project, agreeing that the highly-anticipated film can't come soon enough.

“We feel the exact same, and I know it’s probably very frustrating,” she told PEOPLE at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. “It’s a process that requires patience, and so everybody should consider themselves a part of the movie business now, because this is how long it actually takes to make things.”

The actress, however, has not explicitly confirmed that she has signed on for the film, which is said to be written by Aadrita Mukerji.

It looks like fans are just going to have to wait and see!
