Mindy Kaling Wears a Romantic Colorblock Gown to 'Never Have I Ever' Premiere

Mindy Kaling was a romantic vision at the season 3 premiere of Never Have I Ever.

The co-creator of the Netflix teen hit attended the Los Angeles premiere last night in a look appropriate for any rom-com. Styled by Hayley Atkin, Kaling wore a lovely colorblock gown in shades of red and pink from Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2023 collection. The dress featured a strapless dusty rose top with puffy balloon elbow-length sleeves attached to the torso, and ended in a maroon ankle-length column skirt.

The star finished the look with a pair of open-toed stilettos with gold straps, and accessories including large diamond earrings, a dainty bracelet, and a ruby ring. Her beauty look included a loose bun with tendrils at the sides and matching rosy makeup.

The actress, director, and producer shared pics of her look on Instagram ahead of the premiere, where she wore a beaming smile as she posed in front of greenery.

"What a week it’s been talking about this amazing new season of @neverhaveiever! And now headed to the season 3 premiere, to see my favorite people, the cast and crew and FANS! Please tune in tomorrow when it drops on @netflix!" she wrote, tagging the series' co-creator Lang Fisher.

Earlier this year, the Sex Lives of College Girls creator showed her affinity for colorful looks in a sultry spin on a spring dress. She wore a lavender David Koma one-shoulder midi dress, featuring a hip cutout and a thigh-high leg slit, with a pair of crystal-embellished PVC pumps from Amina Muaddi.

The mother of two currently balances her multiple projects (including working on several shows and writing the Legally Blonde 3 script) with raising her children Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 1. In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Kaling opened up about her decision to keep her children out of the spotlight.

"I want them to be old enough to talk to me about it and [tell me] how they want me to talk about it," she told the outlet. "I'm the only parent my kids have…I think I err on the side of super cautious so that there's less things that they can potentially be mad at me about down the line."
