Is Millie Bobby Brown's Instagram Post Proof that Hopper from "Stranger Things" is Alive?
If you're one of the people who ugly cried during Hopper's death scene in Stranger Things season 3 as much as you did during Bob's, then rejoice because this news might give you all the hope you need as you wait for a new season. Season 4 might make you cry again, but this time they'll be happy tears if this clue from Millie Bobby Brown's Instagram pans out. Millie just posted the most adorable pic with the actor that plays Hopper, David Harbour. She captioned the pic "daddy daughter date 🖤☁️," alluding to their relationship on the show. David even added his own comment to the post, writing "They grow up so damn fast."

At first glance, it looks like Millie's just spending time with her co-star. But let's take a closer look at the photo because fans have a few theories about what it might mean.
In the photo, David's rocking a long beard, a beard which he did not have in Stranger Things 3. Fans on Twitter commented that the beard might mean that Hopper is alive after all and that he is "the American" the Russians were referring to in that post-credits scene in season 3. Perhaps, he was asked to grow out a beard to reflect the amount of time he's been held at that Russian base.
Hopper being alive would fall in line with that Stars Wars theory another fan theorized.

Another reason why I think Hopper is still alive, why else would David Harbour be growing his beard out, BECAUSE HOPPER CAN'T SHAVE IF HE IS BEING IMPRISONED BY THE RUSSIANS or maybe he just likes having a long beard idk pic.twitter.com/Wj9Rlv5B8v

But another fan pointed out that maybe David grew out his beard for his role in the Marvel movie Black Widow. David is set to play the role of the Red Guardian, also known as Alexei Shostakov in that movie.
Maybe David Harbour is growing out his hair and beard for his role in Black Widow and not because Hopper is still alive and is just trapped or captured. #BlackWidowMovie #StrangerThings pic.twitter.com/BEHkEYBMZm

The show's cast and creators probably won't confirm anything for a while, but at least we can dream. Here's to hoping Hopper and El will be reunited in season 3.
