Ever since her appearance as Eleven in Netflix's hit TV series Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown has been reaching new heights – there's no denying it. And to talk about all things success, the actor recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. However, after releasing a clip of the interview on Instagram, fans had a lot to say about one certain thing: her accent.

Back in 2019, Millie released her debut beauty line, Florence by Mills. Then following just one year later, it was revealed that she would be the star of mystery/crime film, Enola Holmes, which has just got a sequel. And although Millie and Jimmy (is that not just an iconic duo name?) touched on these topics, what the two delve into in the IG post is her relationship with Mariah Carey.

Millie shared that she and Mariah have "connected on so many different levels" and that she is her "guiding light", though when talking, it seems as if she has both an American and British accent. But I suppose we can't be too surprised seeing as the Brit-born actor does now live in the United States. That, or perhaps she's picked up a thing or two from Mariah.

And it seems we're not alone in thinking this as fans have flooded the comments section with questions surrounding the change.

Read a select few comments below:

"Millie starting to sound more and more American"

"Does anyone else notice a switch in her accent?"

"Is she losing her accent?"

"She's losing her British accent more and more 😂"

"The constant switching between the American and English accent every other word 😭😭"

"Millie sounds so different here. Sounds like her accent isn’t as strong as it used to be."

So, what do we think? Is the accent a permanent change or will Millie find her way back to her roots? I guess only time will tell!
