Miley Cyrus Writes Emotional Note Thanking Hannah Montana on 15th Anniversary

Miley Cyrus gave Hannah Montana fans the biggest surprise for the show's 15th anniversary.

The internet was hard at work trying to figure out why Hannah Montana suddenly joined Twitter and Instagram earlier this week. Many then pointed out the fact that the show premiered 14 years ago on March 24. Now Miley is joining in on the fun by writing a special note to Hannah after all these years

"Hi Hannah, It's been a while. 15 years to be exact. Since the first time I slid those blond bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity," she wrote in a note that was on Hannah Montana stationary. "Then slipped into a puke pink terry cloth robe with a bedazzled HM over the <3. I didn't know then...that is where you live forever. Not just in mine but million of people around the world."

Miley opened up about a lot of her experiences growing up on the show and filming the series, including the loss of her grandfather shortly before Hannah Montana premiered.

"I lost my pappy, my dad's father, while on set filming an early episode of season 1. He wanted to hold on long enough to catch the premier on March 24th. He passed on February 28th. He did get to catch the commercial that ran during High School Musical which he claimed was one of the proudest moments in his lifetime," Miley wrote.

She also talked about funny moments like getting her period while wearing white pants and meeting a cute guy, and finally getting to drive to set when her mom let her buy a Prius, only to have to bring her grandmother along since she only had a permit at the time.

"You have al my love and upmost gratitude. Breathing life in you for those 6 years was an honor. I am indebted not only to you, Hannah, but to any and everyone who believed in me from the beginning," Miley continued. "You have all my loyalty and deepest appreciation until the end. With all sincerity, I say 'THANK YOU!' I love you, Hannah Montana."

Does this mean we'll get to see Miley back in the blonde wig after all these years? Maybe not, but we're still crossing our fingers!
