ICYMI, a little thing called the Super Bowl took place on Sunday and featured a host of huge names - and that was just the performances and ads. Among those performing was Miley Cyrus who took to the stage at the TikTok Tailgate Super Bowl pre-game show to sing her hits 'Edge of Midnight', 'We can't Stop' and 'Prisoner'.

But while fans jumped on social media to praise her performances, they also noticed at one point she teared up as she was powering through a rendition of 'Wrecking Ball', and struggled to get her words out during the chorus. "It never gets easier," she said before continuing to sing.

Addressing the audience afterwards, she said (via People): "Singing that song, 'Wrecking Ball' about feeling completely broken and shattered... everyone suffering is different, even everyone's threshold of pain.

"I like to think I've got a pretty high tolerance, I wear a lot of glitter and I wear a lot of armour and I also wear my heart on my sleeve. And for that, it gets broken a lot and a lot of us have been feeling broken this year."

Miley split from Cody Simpson in August, a year after the singer and ex-husband Liam Hemsworth announced their break up.

Sending Miley a huge virtual hug.
