This Saturday, supportive survival partner Liam Hemsworth was there for Miley Cyrus during her Saturday Night Live performance and let the public know it. The couple was photographed en route to the SNL after party after the show's taping, holding hands. Cyrus wore a deep v-neck blazer while Hemsworth was dressed in a navy jacket, white top, and black jeans.

It's the first time paparazzi has documented one of their dates in roughly six months. And the hand-holding is an even rarer sight: Cyrus and Hemsworth tend to keep PDA to a limit when photographers shoot them.

The SNL after party was the pair’s second outing together that day: Hemsworth was also photographed entering SNL's studio with Cyrus ahead of the show's taping.

Cyrus has been open about her and Hemsworth's relationship during her press tour these past couple weeks. Cyrus told Howard Stern last Wednesday that she doesn't call him her fiancé anymore, while revealing that he saved all their animals before their house burned down during the Malibu fire. "So actually, Liam, I’ve never loved him more for this-" she started.

"This is your boyfriend? Fiancé?" Stern cut in and ask. That's when Cyrus gave Stern an update on Hemsworth's title.

"Yeah, kind of-ish," Cyrus told the host. "My partner, I call him my survival partner now. He thinks it’s not romantic, but I learned that it is. That is why you pair up with someone, for survival, and he was so incredible. He got all the animals out in his truck."
