Before we had Olivia Rodrigo's angsty post-break-up bop "Good 4 U," we had Miley Cyrus' legendary pop-punk anthem, "7 Things," and Miley herself is well aware of her cultural impact. The "Plastic Hearts" singer just posted a video of her singing the song for the first time in nearly 10 years, and let's just say I have lost any ability to stay calm.

"You'll tell your kids I invented angsty teen punk rock realness," she captioned the clip, where she's seen rehearsing with her band.

Since its 15-year anniversary, MC has been showing a lot of love to the song — she even posted a meme-filled Instagram post poking fun at the love triangle drama that ensued between her and fellow Disney darlings Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas.

That's not all. Just last month, Miley called a Twitter search for the teens who starred in the music video:

If you check the replies, you'll see what some of the girls are up to these days. Most of them have pursued music and acting careers themselves, including The Best of Me's Liana Liberato and Carissa Rae of the indie-folk group, Us the Duo.

I'm so glad Miley's realizing how much her 15-year-old self understood the assignment — even in 2021. If you need me, I'll be scream-singing along to Miley's "7 Things" post in hopes for a cameo in her future music videos.
