Miles Teller's Grandma Has One Idea for the Next 007: Miles Teller

After nearly 15 years as 007, actor Daniel Craig decided to retire from his role as the legendary spy. Now, the hunt for James Bond is well underway. Some suggestions have already been thrown into the mix.

Idris Elba is one name that's been swirling around for years. Also, Jamie Dornan has been making rounds as a candidate for 007. But, the question still lingers: Who should play the next James Bond? Well, Miles Teller's grandmother, Leona Flowers, has an idea.

The Top Gun:Maverick star's name has been on many lips since his performance as Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw in the film. But according to Flowers, Tellers is perfect for the role of James Bond.

"He has everything they’re looking for— talent, looks, strength, worldwide appeal & oh, so cool. He can be that guy!!" she tweeted back in June.

Fans wasted no time shooting back at Tellers grandmother, saying he's American and not British like the previous actors (except one Australian actor) who have played 007.

"He’s an actor, my dear. He can do it," Flowers responded to one user who asked about his English accent.

When another user said they would agree to Teller playing 007 if he was British, but Flower's assured them that her grandson could make people think he was British.

"Lots of Europeans have played Americans. He studied acting which includes accents. He’d be great," she said to another fan with a similar sentiment.

So we know what grandma thinks about Teller's possible future as 007, but what does he have to say about it? During an interview with ET, Teller responded to his grandmother's campaign and the fact that he'd be an American playing the historically British role.

"Yeah. I mean, yeah perfect," he said of taking on the role of James Bond, "I think we're actors, you know, so maybe you can mix it up a little bit."

Teller seems down for the challenge. His grandmother is most certainly down for it, but we still have to wait and see who will be chosen in the final decision. In the meantime, you can catch us scrolling through Miles Teller's grandma's wholesome tweets and watching her be his biggest fan.
