Son of Mike Vrabel

Tyler is the son of Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel. However, despite the family connection, Mike has not expressed any interest in drafting his son.

“I think that there’s 31 teams that are evaluating Tyler,” Mike said, according to the Washington Post.

His recruiting

A three-star prospect out of Houston, Tyler Vrabel earned six Division I scholarship offers in high school. However, he chose to play college football for Boston College. Not only was BC the only Power Five offer for Vrabel, it also brought him close to Foxborough, where his father starred as a linebacker for the New England Patriots.

College accolades

In his career at Boston College, Tyler Vrabel was named an All-ACC honorable mention each of his final three seasons. In 2019, he received 29 votes for the all-conference team, in 2020 he received 41 and in 2021 he received 25.
