This Might Be the Most Googled Hair Color Ever, and Here's Why

Celebrities have embraced certain hair trends again and again and again to the point where they've become almost synonymous with Hollywood. These trends are pervasive in paparazzi shots and red carpets photos—they even adorn our Instagram feeds. They include (but aren't limited to) lob haircuts, the wet-look style, and a certain hair color that we think might just be the most popular of all time, at least among the A-list crowd. We're talking about brown hair that's accented with blonde highlights. It's a hair color that's universally flattering, easy to upkeep, and appropriate for every season (though especially summer).

Famous faces who have worn this hair color include the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Hailey Baldwin, and Gisele Bündchen. All four of these women happen to be supermodels, which can only mean one thing: This hair color isn't just Hollywood-approved; it's also high fashion–approved. For proof, keep scrolling to see how chic these 30 celebrities look with brown hair and blonde highlights. They might just inspire you to make the switch, if you haven't already.

Hailey Baldwin looks stunning with the hair color. As you can see, her locks start off a deep chestnut brown color at the roots, flowing out to golden blonde mid-lengths and ends. She even combined the color with a wet-look style. (See? We told you that trend was big.)

Cleo Wade's brown curls are highlighted with a touch of sun-kissed blonde color. We think it pairs perfectly well with her glowy skin and bright turquoise eye shadow.

Supermodel Doutzen Kroes usually keeps her hair bright blonde, almost platinum. Here, though, she wears it in a golden brown shade. That, paired with the relaxed texture and wet-look roots, makes for a winning combination.

Olivia Wilde's brown hair is accented with blonde highlights, but only in the front ends. The rest of her hair color stays a saturated chestnut brown, which gives off a beachy, effortless vibe, especially when paired with those low-maintenance waves.

Sofía Vergara's waterfall locks are highlighted throughout with a subtle yellow-blonde, which makes her hair look thick, healthy, and natural.

Lucy Hale puts an unexpected twist on the traditional undulating highlights by keeping the top layer of her hair a sandy blonde shade and the bottom half a rich mahogany.

Kate Beckinsale's hair is halfway between brown and red. In other words, it's a pristine shade of auburn. We like the thin pieces of blonde that are interspersed. We also like that shine. As always, we'll be reaching for Sachajuan Shine Serum ($33) to replicate.

Leona Lewis is another supporter of the ombré look. Starting at the center part, her hair slowly transforms from dark brown to yellow blonde.

Khloé is the Kardashian's resident blonde sister. Before that, though, she wore this gorgeous undulating brown-blonde color. Take it from her, this color looks best when styled in long, loose waves. Try using the Beachwaver Pro ($199) for a similar effect.

Nikki Reed's color is almost identical to Khloé's, except that she doesn't go quite as light on the ends. Her blonde highlights are few and far between, but we're not mad, because they make her hair look natural.

Miranda Kerr proves that this hair color suits any length, including a lob. (We told you that these hair trends were real!) Just be sure to add volume at the roots. Try a product like Verb Volume Spray ($16).

Jamie Chung's take on brown hair with blonde highlights is a little different since the contrast between brown and blonde are starker than others on this list. It works though (and well), thanks to her sleek style and dark brows.

Everything we just said about Jamie Chung's hair color applies to Ciara's, too (at least in our humble opinion). We like how she keeps the roots of her hair dark, taking the blonde highlights from mid-lengths to ends.

Jessica Biel's hair color is the epitome of beachy and sun-kissed. It looks like her highlights came from a summer of swimming and sun-tanning versus a box of dye. We're obsessed.

If you have naturally dark brown hair and you don't want to veer too far from it, do as Lily Aldridge does and opt for a few caramel blonde highlights toward the front of your hair.

Next is Alessandra Ambrosio (we weren't kidding when we said supermodels swear by this hair color). Here, she wears her brown/blonde hair in glamorous barrel waves on the red carpet.

For an equally glamorous look, albeit a much blonder one, try dyeing your hair light brown, adding subtle and wide golden blonde highlights. The wine-colored lip isn't required, but it's definitely recommended.

Jennifer Lopez sported our favorite hair color just this past weekend at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. How summery and chic does her hair look when cut straight across in a textured lob? The keyword here is textured. Use a spray like Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray ($28) for similar separation and definition.

Heidi Klum wowed everyone by appearing on the red carpet with long, thick, and wavy hair that was dyed brown/blonde. We're guessing these are extensions, but that won't stop us from trying to replicate the look on our natural hair. (We'll be trying that brown smoky eye, too.)

Here, Drew Barrymore, actress extraordinaire and founder of Flower Beauty, embraces her hair's relaxed wavy texture. It certainly accentuates her pervasive golden blonde highlights.

Giselle Bündchen's ombré hair is perfectly gradient. What starts out mostly dark brown becomes bright blonde toward the end of her ponytail.

Vanessa Hudgens's dark brown (almost black) hair looks to be dip-dyed a dark blonde shade that complements her skin tone well.

Rose Byrne's hair, on the other hand, is an example of a subtler color transition. We will always have a special place in our hearts for a razor-cut bob.

Jennifer Aniston might just be the queen of brown hair with blonde highlights. It's a color that she's worn for years (even way back in her Friends days). Since then, she's hasn't veered far from it. If it's not broke don't fix it, right?

Jessica Alba is another celeb who's known for adding blonde highlights to her naturally chestnut hair. We can see why. It's timeless and constantly flattering, no matter what.

In our humble opinion, Gigi Hadid's brown locks look best when paired with honey-blonde highlights. Her streaks are brighter in the front, which adds dimension to her curly layers.

In true Queen Bey fashion, she broke the internet when she showed up to the Met Gala in these sleek, extra-long extensions peppered with blonde highlights. She's always donned blonde and brown hair—it looks so good against her caramel complexion.

Chrissy Teigen looks dreamy with her Old Hollywood glamour curls at the Academy Awards. Her barrel curls look stunning with golden-blonde and brown highlights, which take this look to the next level.

Jourdan Dunn is one of our favorite hair chameleons because she seriously looks great in every style. The supermodel has experimented with several hair colors, but this chin-length bob has our hearts. The way her brown hair fades into a light blonde gives this a gradual ombré effect.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been a blonde for some time now. Remember way back when she stunned in brunette locks? Her honey-blonde strands sprinkled throughout her tousled waves makes this style timeless and modern.

Now you'll never have to question if brown and blonde are made for each other—clearly, these shades are a dynamic duo.
