If you've been enjoying the new, spooky Mike Flanagan limited series, Midnight Mass, on Netflix, there's a good chance that you've muttered, "I think I know that guy from somewhere." And you do! The cast of is a delightful hodgepodge of performers from all walks of film and television. And if you're a big Flanagan fan, then you've also likely clocked that more than a couple of these actors have worked with the horror leader once (or thrice) before.

The series, which currently holds an impressive 91 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, delves into the private lives of the town members of Crockett Island. The small fishing village is a sleepy place that's suddenly awakened when the Riley Flynn (Zach Gilford) returns from the big city, following his incarceration for killing a girl while drinking and driving. His sad return coincides with the arrival of the town's interim priest, Father Paul Hill (Hamish Linklater). Things quickly spiral out of hand when miracles, not unlike those prophesied in the Bible, start happening. As they, and we, soon find out, the line between miraculous and demonic is much finer than anyone realizes.

The cast is large, but to answer that question of "wait, they were in what?" here's an abbreviated rundown of the people scaring the bejesus out of you on Midnight Mass.

Kate Siegel as Erin Greene

If Siegel looks familiar, it's because she's been in a lot of Flanagan's work. (She and the show-runner are also married, and she's a past writing collaborator of his.) She has starred in Oculus, Hush (which she co-wrote), Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Gerald's Game, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Zach Gilford as Riley Flynn

Guys, it's Matt Saracen. Gilford is best known for his role as the second string quarterback who winds up a superstar in Friday Night Lights. He's also had stints on other series, ranging from Drunk History to Good Girls. (Real ones also know him as the love interest in Taylor Swift's music video for Mine.) He's also slated to collaborate again with Flanagan for his next Netflix project.

Samantha Sloyan as Bev Keane

Flanagan fans will know her for her role in the 2016 film, Hush, but Sloyan's best known role to date is the recurring role of Dr. Penny Blake on Grey's Anatomy. (She killed Derek Shepherd and now she's killing dogs on Crockett Island.) Sloyan is not on Instagram, but she has a very lively fanbase.

Rahul Kohli as Sheriff Hassan

After appearing in 71 episodes of iZombie, Kohli has branched out, starring in Flanagan's Bly Manor series. And if the voice in particular sounds familiar, that makes sense. Kohli also voices the Scarecrow in HBO Max's Harley Quinn series.

Annarah Cymone as Leeza Scarborough

Outside of Midnight Mass, Cymore only has one credit to her name, but she will return in Flanagan's next project, The Midnight Club.

Annabeth Gish as Dr. Sarah Gunning

Gish has quite literally been in everything. (Don't fact-check us.) With some of her earliest work being in the Julia Roberts movie Mystic Pizza, the actress is probably best known for her role as Monica Reyes in The X-Files. She's also enjoyed substantial stints on series such as Sons of Anarchy, The Bridge, and Halt and Catch Fire.

Michael Trucco as Wade Scarborough

Again, Trucco is one of those performers who pops up again and again during your TV binges. He is best known for his recurring role (turned main star) on Battlestar: Galactica.

Henry Thomas as Ed Flynn

Thomas is a frequent collaborator with Flanagan, but fun fact: way before he was a horror aficionado in films like Ouija and Gerald's Game, he was the kid in E.T. No, seriously.

Hamish Linklater as Father Paul Hill

Ah, the charismatic, terrifying priest. While his film work includes The Big Short and his TV roles include long-running characters on Legion and The Crazy Ones, let us pay tribute to the most important role of all: Linklater's 88-episode run on The New Adventures of Old Christine.
