Michelle Williams is having quite a year. The actress earned rave reviews for her role as Gwen Verdon in FX's miniseries Fosse/Verdon, later taking home an Emmy for her work on the show, and possibly a Golden Globe too (she's in the running for this Sunday's award show). And now, fans have learned that she's finding happiness in her personal life as well.

Williams is engaged to Thomas Kail, a film and theater director best known for his work on Hamilton. It's not clear when they began dating, but they did spend time together on the Fosse/Verdon set, with Kail directing Williams. People first reported the news, alongside a photo of the happy couple, with Williams showing off her new engagement ring.

A source tells People that Williams's 14-year-old daughter Matilda—the actress's child with Heath Ledger, who died in 2008—helped set her up with Kail.

Previously, Williams was also married to musician Phil Elverum. The couple announced their split back in April, after less than a year of marriage. This will also be Kail's second time down the aisle; he was previously married to stage actress Angela Christian.

People's source also reports that Williams is expecting a child with her fiancé. The director was photographed with Williams in London, where she's currently filming Venom 2. Williams was also reportedly seen shopping for baby clothes at a maternity boutique in Kensington.

Back in 2018, the actress opened up to Vanity Fair about finding love after Heath Ledger's passing. “I never gave up on love,” she told Vanity Fair. Williams also offered advice for others seeking romance: "Don’t settle. Don’t settle for something that feels like a prison or is hard, or hurts you. If it doesn’t feel like love, it’s not love."
