Timothée Chalamet is no stranger to wearing matching outfits with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He’s worn the same red suit as Jamie Lee Curtis (on the same day, we might add). He inspired Michael B. Jordan to rock a harness on the red carpet after he wore one to the 2018 Golden Globes. Now, the 23-year-old Little Women star is getting matchy-matchy with Michelle Pfeiffer.
It all started last Thursday in London at The King premiere, where Chalamet arrived on the red carpet wearing a Virgil Abloh–designed Louis Vuitton hooded sweatshirt, which was reportedly festooned with 15,000 sequins and more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals. Casual.
Via Instagram, Abloh explained that he and Chalamet dreamed-up the sweatshirt during a text conversation. Then, voila. Chalamet paired the fancy yet comfy topper with pleated slacks and patent-leather lace-up boots.
Fast-forward a day and Pfeiffer hit the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil premiere in Moscow wearing a black sequin concoction of her own.
The 61-year-old Oscar nominee selected a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello double-breasted jacket with sequin embroidery and sleek silk lapels. It was basically the tailored and grown-up version of Chalamet’s bedazzled sweatshirt. Like her potential style inspiration, Pfeiffer paired her sequin blazer with black wide-leg slacks and a black turtleneck for an all-black ensemble. Her shoes weren’t visible under her slacks but we’re guessing they were also black.
Two sequin looks worn two different ways. So, who wore it best? Honestly, we’d have to say both.
