Michelle Obama and Tina Knowles Lawson Danced Together in Paris
Maybe you thought the biggest event in Paris last night was the World Cup final. Actually, it was Michelle Obama and Tina Knowles Lawson dancing casually together while attending the On the Run II tour. It was no big deal, really; just the former first lady hanging out with, essentially, America's queen mother, while America's royal couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, put on a joint concert together.
In video captured by apoplectic fans who spotted the duo at the show, Michelle (rocking a pair of white shorts) can be seen bopping right in front of the stage alongside Tina, who is equally enjoying herself. But the best part of the clip might be when Tina decides to take a break and sit down for a moment, as Michelle keeps getting down behind her. Nothing to see here people, just two friends enjoying some live music together! Chill out. Sasha Obama was reportedly also at the show, though she wasn't seen dancing with her mom and Beyoncé's mom, which is understandable.
The Obamas and the Knowles-Carters go way back, as we know: Beyoncé sang at Barack Obama's 2013 inauguration, and their friendship has only blossomed since. Bey and Jay were kind enough to the sports fans at the show to play the World Cup final match, in which France was playing and which the team eventually won, before they could get to the main event of the night: two friends out on the town dancing to some of their favorite tunes.
