Michelle Obama Is Starting a Podcast
If there’s one thing we could use more of in our lives right now (and always), it’s Michelle Obama. This year has given us little to look forward to, and has continued to provide horrific surprises at every turn, but now, thanks to our former First Lady, we have a shred of hope … She’s starting a podcast!
The aptly titled Michelle Obama Podcast is a collaboration between Barack and Michelle’s Higher Ground production company and Spotify, where it will stream exclusively beginning July 29. “My hope is that this series can be a place to explore meaningful topics together and sort through so many of the questions we’re all trying to answer in our own lives,” Obama said in a press release. “Perhaps most of all, I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations — and hard conversations — with the people who matter most to them. That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another.”
I’m thrilled to announce a new project: The #MichelleObamaPodcast with @Spotify! It’s been a tough year and I hope this podcast can help us explore what we’re going through and spark new conversations with our loved ones. I can't wait for you all to listen on July 29! pic.twitter.com/89zecZXnrr

And, naturally, The Michelle Obama Podcast will not scrimp on its guest list. So far, the lineup includes Obama’s mom and brother (Marian and Craig Robinson, respectively), Conan O’Brien, Valerie Jarrett, Michele Norris and Dr. Sharon Malone MD.
