Michael Miu won't think much about winning another TV King

29 Nov – It is almost ridiculous to think that the "My Favourite TVB Actor in a Leading Role" award Michael Miu won at the TVB Star Awards Malaysia recently was his first ever Best Actor accolade, and that he is still not one of the favourites to win TV King at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards.

But according to Michael, he would rather just enjoy the victory of winning it in Malaysia last weekend than thinking too much about the upcoming event, Mingpao reported.

Asked if he is a new threat to Kenneth Ma and Vincent Wong's chance to win TV King this year now that he has won in Malaysia for his role in "Line Walker: The Prelude", Michael responded, "I can't say. There are a lot of opportunities when you're in this business. I have waited 40 years to finally win one," he said.

The actor added humbly, "If you can't encourage yourself, you should reflect on your own shortcomings."

When asked how he celebrated his recent win, Michael shared that he has yet to celebrate it with his peers.

"I just went for a claypot meal with my wife [Jaime Chik]. Then we fell asleep watching the television," he said.
