Mia Farrow Uses Charles Manson's Death to Pay Tribute to Friend Sharon Tate

Mia Farrow is using Charles Manson’s death to pay tribute to her late friend.

The actress Tweeted a picture of Manson victim Sharon Tate, who was eight months pregnant and married to director Roman Polanski at the time of her murder.

“Charlie Manson is dead — good riddance,” Farrow said.

Tate was killed in a horrific stabbing at a Benedict Canyon, California home by one of Manson’s followers, Susan Atkins. Farrow was close to Tate at the time of her death after starring in Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby the year before. She also retweeted a post outlining how old Tate and her unborn child would be today.

The late actress’ sister Debra also weighed in on Manson’s death, telling PEOPLE that she “said a prayer for his soul” when she found out.

“Each one of these people and myself now have are spirits or our wills are slightly entangled,” she said about Manson and his followers (Tex Watson, Patricia Krenwinkel, Leslie Van Houten and now deceased Atkins) who were also convicted.

Manson, who died Sunday of natural causes, was serving a life sentence for the deaths of seven people, which occurred during a two-day murder spree in August 1969. He is responsible for the deaths of: Tate, Jay Sebring; Wojciech Frykowski; Abigail Folger; Steven Parent; Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.
