MÓNICA RAMÍREZ: The MeToo movement and the Time's Up movement are really defined by the fact that they are initiatives to end violence against people, sexual violence, particularly. But really, at the heart of it, both movements are about the fact that we're fighting for the dignity and humanity of people.
We're fighting so that people can go to work and feel safe and not feel like they have to experience violence in order to feed their families. And we're fighting so that everybody can be seen for their full worth, and so that people don't have to feel as though they're going to be treated differently or have fewer opportunities or experiences because of their gender, or race, or for any other reason.
