Met Gala 2023: Olivia Wilde Flaunts Her Toned Abs in Chic Cutout Dress
Olivia Wilde stepped out ready to be talked about with her 2023 Met Gala look.
The actress arrived on the carpet of the highly-anticipated event at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 1, rocking a chic white and gold Edwardian-inspired number featuring an intricate high-neck detailing, an embellished cutout waist practically made for her to flaunt her abs. Oh, and we should mention the matching wrist cuffs, which just added a whole lot of sparkles.
The Don't Worry Darling director finished off the ensemble with a timeless middle-part hairstyle, simple face of glowing makeup and a pair of statement earrings that were almost as eye-catching as the gown itself.

Following her very public breakup from "As It Was" singer Harry Styles in November, Wilde has been teasing paparazzi with glimpses of her toned torso since the fall. Even more recently, she took it a step further when celebrating her 39th birthday, sharing cheeky bikini pics on social media while ringing in her big day at the beach.
And while the Met Gala isn't her first big event since the two broke up (who could forget her stunning lace dress for the People's Choice Awards or what she wore to the 2023 Oscars Vanity Fair Party?!), she's certainly treating it as such with another relatively simple head-turning look.
As many social media users pointed out, the gown is a clear reference to the Chloé Violin dress designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1983.

This year's theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty," is dedicated to the late fashion designer, artist and photographer known for his role as the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel–a position he held from 1983 until he died in 2019–and for his work as the creative director of the Italian fashion label Fendi. Lagerfeld, best recognized for his Edwardian-style fashion and distinctive appearance, also created many successful works under his own brands and in collaboration with a multitude of other designers.
