Members of the Royal Family Wish Archie a Happy Birthday on Social Media

Archie Mountbatten Windsor is turning 2!

Royal family members have taken to social media today to celebrate Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's son's birthday. Prince William and Duchess Catherine, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, and of course, the queen all wrote sweet messages and shared throwback photos of themselves with the young royal.

"Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today. 🎈🎂," wrote the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge alongside a family photo from Archie's christening back in 2019. The portrait features Archie and his parents sitting side-by-side with Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, the Cambridges, as well as Meghan's mother Doria Ragland.

The queen also sent her birthday wishes, sharing a photo of Meghan and Harry first presenting baby Archie to the world in the days after his birth.

"Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today. 🎈," read the sovereign's birthday note.

The Clarence House Instagram account also joined in on the virtual celebration, opting to post a black-and-white photo of Prince Charles gazing at his newborn grandson in Prince Harry's arms, also from Archie's 2019 christening.

The royal family and the Sussexes will be ringing in Archie's second birthday apart of course, as Prince Harry, Meghan, and their child relocated to California early last year. Harry revealed how his son was adjusting to West Coast life during the couple's sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

"This year has been crazy for everybody," said Prince Harry, "But to have outdoor space where I can go for walks with Archie and we can go for walks as a family, and with the dogs and go on hikes or go to the beach which is so close, all of these things are ... the highlight [for me]."
