Melania Trump Is Being Accused of Photoshopping Her & Donald’s Official Christmas Portrait
“Weirdest cut and paste job ever seen.”
"Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump," FLOTUS tweeted on Friday, adding that the photo of the couple wearing matching tuxedos on the Grand Staircase — which was decorated for holidays — was taken on Dec. 10 by photographer Andrea Hanks. However, the internet immediately began to question the authenticity of the snap, accusing the Trumps of photoshop.

"They even lie ON A CHRISTMAS CARD," wrote one user, pointing to an image of the pair during their state visit to the U.K. in 2019 as the card's original source, with Donald sporting what appears to be an identical tux and the same stiff pose. "Here's the pic they photoshopped Donnie from," added the commenter. The original photo was snapped at a dinner hosted for Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall at Winfield House last June.

Others also agreed that photoshop was to blame for the awkward snapshot. As further proof, one social media sleuth noticed that Melania's right arm was completely hidden in the frame (though, it's possible she wrapped it around her husband's back), while another called attention to the fact that Donald wasn't even looking at the camera.
What a lovely photo (shop). Was Donald lifted out of a photo from this same meeting? pic.twitter.com/kvzgSMtxe7

Weirdest cut and paste job ever seen. They both look two dimensional cut outs/ anime, superimposed onto a screen. DT’s face is from a prior photo. Bizarre until the very end.

I’ve seen some pretty amateur photoshop jobs in my life, but this one takes it to a new level! No way this is not shopped! 😂😂😃😃

I want to know what happened to Melania's right arm.

It makes sense why the Trumps would fake their holiday portrait, as Melania herself has admitted she isn't a fan of her White House Christmas duties.
In a recording obtained by the first lady's former friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania can be heard saying: "I'm working my ass off at Christmas stuff. You know, who gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decoration? But I need to do it, right?" She continued, "OK, and then I do it and I say that I'm working on Christmas and planning for the Christmas and they said, 'Oh, what about the children that they were separated?' Give me a fucking break."
Luckily, this is the last year Melania will have to worry about "Christmas stuff" — holiday portraits, included.
