Actor Mel Brooks and wife actress Anne Bancroft’s former (utterly charming) Southampton beach cottage is newly on the market for $5 million.
The famous pair briefly owned the two-story shingle-style home, located on one of Southampton’s most prized streets.
The 2,304-square-foot charmer was built in 1960 and sits on 1.33 acres on Shinnecock Bay and just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean. With water views from every room, the four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath cottage is a dream beach escape for buyers in the market for a slice of celebrity real estate.
The home features water views from every room, newly finished marble kitchen counters, fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom, a large deck overlooking the bay, outdoor shower, and the potential to expand and install a swimming pool.
Brooks, who at 93 is still working, is famous for works like Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Young Frankenstein, and The Producers. Oscar winner Bancroft, who passed away in 2005 at the age of 73, starred in The Graduate, The Miracle Worker, and The Elephant Man.

After selling their Meadow Lane cottage, the couple bought a smaller beach home eight miles down the street in Water Mill, and also owned property on Fire Island and in Malibu.
The home is held by Michaela Keszler of Douglas Elliman. Scroll on for more photos:
