Megyn Kelly blasts Elizabeth Warren over Native American heritage claims

On Friday, Megyn Kelly got into a heated discussion about Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s claim that she has Native American heritage. Last night at a rally in Montana, President Trump again pejoratively called Sen. Warren “Pocahontas.” But this time, he said he wants to force her to take a DNA test to prove it. “You know those little kits they sell on television for two dollars? Learn your heritage!” Trump said. He then rambled about how he was going to throw one “gently” at Warren and make her prove she’s part Native American. Then, addressing Warren, he said, “I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity paid for by Trump if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.” “Maybe Trump’s on to something,” said Kelly. “[Warren] should take the heritage test and if it backs her up, she can check the box as much as she wants.” During her 2012 Senate race, Warren explained her belief, saying her grandparents told her about her ethnic origins, using her high cheekbones as partial evidence. On her show, Kelly was quick to criticize that, saying, “I also have high cheekbones, doesn’t make me Native American.” After recalling Warren’s cheekbone explanation, Kelly turned to her studio audience and said, “I’m sorry, this happened. You may like Elizabeth Warren, but this is why [Trump’s] mocking her.”
