Meghan Markle tapped into one of her favorite hobbies during her royal engagement at a nursing home yesterday. While visiting Brinsworth House in Twickenham, the Duchess of Sussex talked to residents and helped them decorate a sign at the residential care center with festive name tags and crafts. While penning a message for the home, Meghan showed off her incredible handwriting.

"Merry Christmas. Love, Meghan," her note read, in flawless calligraphy.

Her entry in the visitor's book was also quite stunning.

The duchess is known to be a skilled calligrapher. She picked up the hobby during handwriting classes in Catholic school, she told Esquire in 2013. She also did calligraphy to support her early acting career. Some of her big gigs included Paula Patton and Robin Thicke's wedding invitations and Dolce & Gabbana's celebrity correspondences.

"I would sit there with a little white tube sock on my hand so no hand oils got on the card, trying to pay my bills while auditioning," she told Esquire. "I'm glad that in the land of no one seeming to appreciate a handwritten note anymore that I can try to keep that alive."

Meghan looked chic for yesterday's visit in a fitted floral dress by Brock Collection, paired with a long wool coat. While bonding with members of the nursing home, the duchess, who's expecting her first child in the spring, also joked that she felt "very pregnant" during her trip.

Today, Meghan was back in the royal spotlight, this time for a pre-Christmas luncheon hosted by the Queen. She and Prince Harry were seen in their car arriving to Buckingham Palace for the soirée earlier today, and the duchess appeared to rewear one of her sheer, high-neck Erdem dresses for the occasion.
