Meghan Markle's Favorite London Bakery Shared a New Photo for Her Birthday
One of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex's favorite bakeries in London wished her a happy birthday yesterday with a never-before-seen photo of the duchess from a 2019 visit.
Luminary Bakery is a U.K.-based volunteer-run organization that empowers women who have been victims of violence, sex trafficking, homelessness, and more.
One of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex's go-to London bakeries partook in the virtual celebration for her birthday yesterday.
Taking to Instagram, Luminary Bakery—which aims to support and empower women who have been the victims of violence, sex trafficking, or homelessness, or were recently incarcerated, by teaching them to bake—shared a never-before-seen photo of the duchess from her visit to the bakery last year. In the picture, Meghan can be seen looking grateful as a Luminary graduate lends the duchess her apron.
"Today, we're partnering with @camfed to celebrate #empoweringwomen and say a very #HappyBirthdayMeghan who has championed the work of both our organisations!" read the bakery's caption. "This picture is of Monica meeting Meghan when she came to help us officially open our second bakery in Camden last year. Monica enthusiastically lent her the apron she was wearing, which is true to Monica's generous spirit!"
