Meghan Markle Totally Swapped Out Her Go-To Beauty Look for an Ultra-Glam Vibe at Latest U.K. Outing

Meghan Markle’s motto for her remaining royal engagements? Go big before going home.

The 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex stepped out with Prince Harry in London today for the 2020 Endeavour Fund Awards and looked positively radiant. Maybe it was her cerulean blue Victoria Beckham shift dress, or her just-a-couple-weeks-left-of-work glow, but Markle definitely brought her A-game. The evidence was everywhere. It was her and her 35-year-old husband’s color-coordinated looks and it was her long pony and her garnet makeup, too.

Now, Markle typically gravitates toward soft waves, sleek buns and straightened low-ponytails. But tonight, she brought out a new take on one of her favorite hairstyles.

She pulled her lengthy locks into a kind of Zoë Kravitz slightly wavy pony. Her part was pin-straight and her baby hairs were smoothed down. The ponytail was secured at the nape of her neck with a piece of hair wrapped around her elastic. It was totally sleek and chic.

On the makeup front, the duchess usually keeps things low-key. It’s rare to see her wearing a statement lip or a statement eye, let alone at the same time. But today, the new mom selected a garnet-colored lipstick and gloss combination.

She also rocked a sort of aubergine, copper and brown smoky eye combination with some top and bottom lid liner. She even went a little heavier on foundation coverage than she usually does.

If this is any indication of the beauty boundaries Markle will be pushing once she makes her official royal exit on March 31, then we’re here for it.
