Meghan Markle isn't seen off duty much, but celebrity gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi ran intel about a Whole Foods sighting of Meghan back in January 2020, when she and Prince Harry were living in Canada. A screenshot of the submission, featuring a fan-taken shot of the Duchess shopping, was posted to Twitter, revealing how Meghan dresses for grocery trips. She wore a cream coat, skinny jeans, and black ballet flats (that look quite a bit like the black pointed-toe Rothy's pair she had worn before to events)—chic but casual.

News of the sighting comes around the same time news broke today of Meghan and Prince Harry volunteering in Los Angeles. The couple worked with Assistance League of L.A. to help preschool children "replant the Preschool Learning Center's garden," the organization wrote. Additionally, "they spent time with them, sharing their appreciation for nature and helping to instill the importance of healthy eating. We truly appreciate their time and care for our students. 🌱"
Meghan dressed down in denim too for the occasion, wearing a chambray top with darker wash jeans. She appears to be wearing her black Rothy's flats there, too.
The children of our Preschool Learning Center got a wonderful surprise when The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited yesterday! ❤️ In addition to helping the children replant the Preschool Learning Center's garden, they spent time with them, sharing their appreciation for nature and helping to instill the importance of healthy eating. We truly appreciate their time and care for our students. 🌱 For more than 100 years, @assistanceleagueoflosangeles has been providing early education services to children in need. Last week, Meghan's recent conversation with Gloria Steinem was published. The Duchess spoke about how thrilled she was that her son Archie was being raised with a self-identified "feminist" father, Prince Harry.
"I look at our son and what a beautiful example that he gets to grow up with a father who is so comfortable owning that as part of his own self-identification," Meghan said. "That there’s no shame in being someone who advocates for fundamental human rights for everyone, which of course includes women."
