Meghan Markle Shares a Sweet Behind-the-Scenes Look at How Her New Clothing Line Is Coming Together

Last night, Meghan Markle sent social media into a tailspin yet again. The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram Stories to share a couple of quick, behind-the-scenes video clips from a photoshoot for the upcoming charitable fashion collection that she’s launching in partnership with designer Misha Nonoo. The Duchess of Sussex is also partnering with Smart Works, an organization that helps women find jobs in the workforce through dress, résumé building, and one-on-one career counseling. This is the first time we’re seeing the actual design and marketing process come to life, and many questions remain, including a pertinent one posed by my colleague Emily Farra: Will the collection be sustainably made?

On the posts, as the song “Lovely Day” plays in the background, Markle is seen laughing, hugging the models, styling on set, and taking a look at photos on a monitor. The last caption in the story reads: “An initiative supporting the Smart Works collective which will equip women entering the workforce with the key workwear essentials they need.” We can’t be sure that the clothes we see are the actual designs that the duchess will be releasing this fall, but it’s likely, considering that they look sophisticated, yet approachable in signature Markle fashion.
