Meghan Markle’s Royal Quick Change Is a Lesson in Date Night Beauty

Stepping out today in London, mom-to-be Meghan Markle nailed the art of the quick change, serving up two megawatt beauty looks in a matter of hours—and even letting a risky pedicure shade peek out of her strappy, open-toed stilettos.

Earlier this afternoon, the newlywed was seen at Mayhew, an animal welfare charity in London, sporting a beige knit dress and a matching topcoat paired with clean skin and long, textured second-day waves—just one of the glorious side effects of pregnancy, no doubt. A few hours later, Markle emerged again, this time with Prince Harry at Royal Albert Hall. She wore a midnight blue sequin Roland Mouret gown with her brunette locks pulled into a slicked-back, polished bun, with a hint of the center part she’d had earlier that day.

And while Markle is typically a fan of pinkish nude nail colors,—she wore the light hue for her spring nuptials last year—lately she’s been in the mood to experiment. Breaking the unspoken rules of royal tradition, which decree non-distracting polish shades as mandatory, the Duchess of Sussex revealed a dark purple pedicure for a performance of Cirque du Soleil's Totem show. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what beauty rules she bends next.
