Honestly, the month of March feels endless and I’m pretty sure we’ll never see the end of it, but *allegedly* spring is just around the corner, and you know what that means: The first Monday in May is incoming.

The 2023 Met Gala is going down on Monday, May 1, and there’s already a ton of speculation about what celebrities will be invited and who won’t be making Anna Wintour’s extremely covetable guest list.

And according to PR expert Jordan James, who chatted with The Mirror, it doesn’t look like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be in attendance. “It certainly wouldn’t come as a major surprise if they were snubbed given their current status within the royal family and the ensuing drama,” he said, adding, “They aren’t likely to attend as they will undoubtedly face scrutiny, no matter how hard they may try to minimize fallout—especially with how close this event is to the royal coronation.”

The Met Gala is actually going down just five days ahead of King Charles’s coronation, and if the Sussexes are planning to attend the coronation, it seems likely that they’ll already be in England by the time the Met Gala rolls around. But who knows! It would certainly be incredible to see them at the event, the theme of which is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”

As for who else is attending the Met Gala, the guest list is being kept under a tight lock, but there are rumors the Kardashians aren’t getting an invite, despite the fact that the entire family was at last year’s gala. More on that here:
