Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Expecting a Baby in Spring 2019

Congratulations to the happy couple.

It's official: After months of speculation on when they would start their family, the royal family has announced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex, are expecting a baby in spring 2019. The news was announced shortly after Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank (at St. George's chapel in Windsor, where Harry and Meghan also got married), which the couple attended before heading off on their royal tour of Australia.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019," the @Kensingtonroyal post on Instagram reads, continuing, "Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."

Now that the couple have confirmed the news, there's no doubt people all over the world will be speculating on a variety of subjects, likely including whether Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, will move to the U.K. ahead of her grandchild's birth. According to Hello! royal editor Emily Nash, a palace spokesperson told the press that Doria "is very happy about this lovely news and is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild."

As with all things related to the royal couple, though, we'll just have to wait until Meghan and Harry share what they want to with the public.
