Meghan Markle’s Middle School Pal Katharine McPhee Says Her Hubby & Prince Harry Are ‘Like Father and Son’
Katharine McPhee is spilling the deets on her and David Foster’s relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The 36-year-old American Idol alum recently did a virtual interview with Access, where she was asked about that iconic photograph she shared on Instagram, showing a teen (possibly preteen) version of herself and the Duchess of Sussex.
“She went to a school called Immaculate Heart, as did I. She went there for middle school and high school, and I went there just for middle school,” McPhee said during the interview. “I did a couple of shows with her and she was always put together and great. I was never really close friends with her.”
However, the duo reconnected later in life, thanks to Foster. According to the Waitress star, her hubby and the duke have a “really beautiful” relationship. “They're so cute, they're like father and son," McPhee continued. "We just stay in touch with them. Meghan and I knew each other from childhood, but really, Harry and my husband are friends, so it's really nice.”
Such good friends, in fact, that the Grammy winner actually assisted the ex-royal couple in finding a home in Canada and may just help them find a permanent place in L.A.
“We just want them to end up wherever they feel safest and happiest," she said. "David's the resource guy. He knows all the places. He loves to help people. We just hope they end up somewhere where they feel like they can really settle down.”
