How Meghan Markle helped Princess Eugenie plan her wedding

There’s a lot of pressure when it comes with planning a royal wedding that’s to be held in front of the Queen and broadcast live on TV for anyone to watch.

But if there’s any one person who knows how to handle it, it’s Meghan Markle who went through the exact same experience while planning her own wedding to Prince Harry back in May.

And now it seems the Duchess of Sussex is lending a helping hand to fellow royal Princess Eugenie who is set to marry her long-term partner Jack Brooksbank on Friday at the very same venue as Meghan – St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

The 28-year-old bride-to-be and her 32-year-old fiancé reportedly paid a visit to cousin Harry and his wife Meghan last month to get advice about their upcoming wedding.

“Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank made a trip to see the couple around a month ago for Meghan to help the bride-to-be with her wedding plans,” The Mail Online reported.

It’s believed the meeting took place at the cottage Harry and Meghan spent most of their summer, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire – not far from where David and Victoria Beckham own a £6million mansion.

“Harry and Meghan have spent much of their summer at the house… It’s their safe haven,” a source told The Mail Online.

And as more details emerge about Princess Eugenie’s wedding, she and Meghan have an increasing amount of similarities when it comes to their big days.

Not only is the ceremony to be held at the same venue, yet the newlywed couple are set to take a similar carriage ride through Windsor just like Harry and Meghan – just not down the Long Walk as they did.

Further, Eugenie and Jack have asked guests to adhere to a similar dress code of ‘morning coat or day dress with a hat’.

Despite having a lot to organise, in August Princess Eugenie told Vogue that she wasn’t ‘stressed at all’ in the lead up to her wedding.

“It’s very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters,” Eugenie said.
