Meghan Markle Allegedly Shouted At A Kate Middleton Staffer And Caused The Fab Four To Split
A new book about life in Kensington Palace claims Meghan Markle yelled at one of Kate Middleton’s staffers.
The book also pinpoints this as the reason she and Prince Harry split off from Prince William and Kate.
Did you hear that teensy rumor that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a new biography on the way? Well, it’s true—it’s called Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, by your fave royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. But before we get all the juicy details about Meghan and Harry’s life, we now have a competing narrative in an already released book, Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir From Queen Mary to Meghan Markle, by Tom Quinn. And this one is claiming Meghan was less than kind during her time as a royal.
In an excerpt obtained by the Daily Mail, sources in the book allege that Meghan struggled with having a lesser rank in the monarchy compared to Prince William and Kate Middleton. “I think she has found that difficult to deal with,” the source claimed. “And although Harry loved their cottage in the grounds, Meghan was conscious that it was tiny in comparison to the vast apartment complex where Kate and William live.”
A second source, who identified as a palace servant, agreed with the above statement and shed some light on why Meghan and Harry ultimately decided to split households from William and Kate. “Kate was horrified when Meghan shouted at a member of Kate’s staff—that was definitely the beginning of discussions about leaving Kensington Palace,” the source claimed. “Like many people not used to dealing with servants, Meghan overdoes the imperiousness; so on the one hand she wants to be like Diana, a people’s princess, and on the other she wants people to stand to attention when she clicks her fingers.”
A different source in the book theorized that all this went down because Meghan was mistreated by other members of the royal fam. “There are the more reactionary elements in the Royal Family who do look down on her, and she knows it,” another source said in the book. “This makes her overreact sometimes—she doesn’t have Kate’s assured way of dealing with people.”
