With at-home orders lifting across the world, celebrities are wasting no time inviting their stylists over to help dye or cut their hair. Some are making big changes (we're looking at you, Tiffany Haddish, with your buzzcut) while others, like Kate Middleton, are making minor color shifts like just lightening things up for summer. And now, another royal — well, ex-royal — Meghan Markle just got a sleek new haircut.
On July 14, Markle delivered a keynote speech to the Girl Up Leadership Summit via webcam from her Los Angeles home. The speech was made to an audience of more than 40,000, urging women to always build each other up and use their voices.
The Duchess of Sussex's speech was beautiful and powerful, just as you would expect. However, here at Allure, we were also focused on the new long, layered hairstyle she wore.
Markle is normally spotted wearing smooth waves, a low bun, or a slicked-back ponytail, so it seems she has officially switched things up for this new chapter in the U.S. Wearing her hair down and sleek like this is a new look for the Duchess, and we are in love with it. She wore a bright blue dress and soft makeup, which complemented her long hair perfectly.
If we rewind to her old life, the Duchess was always serving looks in Kensington Palace and now, it looks like she will continue to do so with her new modern-day non-royal life in Los Angeles.
