- Prince George turns six years old today, and his family has shared new portraits of him to celebrate the occasion.
- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry greeted the young prince via Instagram comment.
- The royal couple has left similar messages for niece Princess Charlotte and nephew Prince Louis's birthdays earlier this year.
Prince George's uncle, Prince Harry, and aunt, Meghan Markle, have joined in on greeting the six-year-old royal on his birthday on social media today. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left a sweet Instagram comment on a photo posted by Kensington Palace (the official account of George's parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton), which showed the birthday celebrant in a green polo shirt smiling outdoors.
"Happy Birthday 🎂🎈!" the message began. "Wishing you a very special day and lots of love!"
This charming outdoor shot of the little prince was one of three portraits taken by the Duchess of Cambridge that were released for today's occasion. William and Kate are known to share photos of their children on their birthdays annually, and they unveiled images when Princess Charlotte turned four in May and when Prince Louis turned one in April. Both times, Harry and Meghan shared well wishes with short and sweet Instagram comments via their account, @sussexroyal.
For Charlotte, they wrote, "Happy Birthday Charlotte! 🎂🎈Lots of love, H and M xo."
Just cos they’re waiting for #BabySussex to arrive, doesn’t mean Uncle Harry and Aunty Meghan can’t send a Happy Birthday wish (and a ballon and cake emoji) to Princess Charlotte 🎂 🎈 pic.twitter.com/aTWTMP0B3w— Chris Ship (@chrisshipitv) May 2, 2019
And for Louis, they commented, according to Cosmopolitan UK, "Happy Birthday Louis! Sending lots of love from the both of us 🎂🎈 xo."
We're sure between the Sussexes and Cambridges, the celebrations go beyond exchanges on social media.
