Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Prince William are set to reunite in the United Kingdom in 2021.
Meghan and Harry are returning for events, explains a royal biographer.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to cross the pond in 2021. While in the United Kingdom, they're planning to attend events with Prince William and Kate Middleton. It's no secret that Harry and Meghan's relationship with William and Kate has been a bit rocky since they decided to step down from their senior roles in the royal family. That means their reunion might be interesting... to say the least.
“I think it’s going to be very awkward if they do meet up,” Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in Their Own Words author Phil Dampier told The Sun. "From what I am told, the rift is not a lot better at the moment—they are not talking a lot."
One of the reasons why Harry and Meghan are traveling to the U.K. is for the unveiling of a statue in honor of the late Princess Diana. "I think they will put on a united front for the unveiling of Diana’s statue," Phil continued. "I’m sure they will put on a united front for the birthday celebrations but behind the scenes, I think there’s going to be a lot of tension," he said.
Although, according to recent reports, the relationship between the respective royal couples has improved. A source who spoke to Vanity Fair royal reporter Katie Nicholl said Meghan and Harry's dynamic with William and Kate is "much better than it was."
Hmm, so, it's possible that their reunion will go smoothly. It is a new year, after all.
