Update July 19 at 2:15 P.M.: Megan Thee Stallion addressed her shooting in more detail, tweeting that she's "traumatized" by the experience. "Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own," she wrote. "It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized."

Update July 16 at 11:45 A.M.:TMZ reports that Tory Lanez allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion after she got out of his car Sunday night. Neither party has confirmed the reports.

Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram to clarify reports about an altercation that occurred. Reports initially said that she was injured with glass from a car during an incident that ended with Tory Lanez being arrested, and implied that she had also been arrested.

In a text post on her page, Megan clarified that she was actually shot but did not go into details about who shot her.

“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me," she wrote.  “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night. I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.”

In a caption for the post, she added, "I was never arrested. This whole experience was an eye-opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy."

It seems that Megan was shot in the foot and that she is doing well given the circumstances. Lanez was released on bond Sunday night but has not spoken about the incident.
