Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is completely crushing the health and fitness game lately thanks to her "Hottie Bootcamp", and she just shared a new video that shows just how hard she’s been working.
The "WAP" singer captioned her Instagram post, "POLE DANCING IS THEE HARDEST WORK OUT IVE EVER DONE," so you know it’s got to be good. That’s not all she said, though. "Sometimes doing the same workouts or working out in the same places becomes a lil boring/ repetitious for me so I had to spice it up a little bit and take a pole class," Megan wrote. "This sh*t kicked my a** but I’m definitely going back ! What are somethings y’all do to keep the work out interesting ?#HOTTIEBOOTCAMP."
Okay, but back to that video… The "Body" rapper kicks things off by talking about why she decided to check out pole dancing. "I heard it’s a really sexy way to stay in shape, so I’m going to see if I can do this sh*t," she says. Cut to shots of Megan rolling her booty on the pole, spinning around, and making a few select facial expressions that show this is as hard as everyone says it is. She throws in a few twerks, and then starts doing some really hard-looking side bends with her leg hooked around the pole. And, when the instructor told her it was time to hit up the other side, she drops a look.
It’s kind of amazing to see how far the "Savage" songstress comes in just one class. By the second half of the video, she’s spinning around like a total pro. "Perfect," her instructor says at one point. Megan then does some body pull-ups—with her legs wrapped around the pole—and looks completely legit by the end.
While Megan was upfront the whole time about how hard the whole thing was, it’s pretty clear that she was having a blast during the sweat sesh.
Megan's pole dancing experience was her way of kicking off week two of the new health and fitness journey she’s calling "Hottie Bootcamp." Megan said during week one that, for her, "this is about me just getting healthier in general and me seeing how I can transform my body in the healthiest way possible." Week one fitness included a HIIT boxing workout. Megan’s trainer put on pads while she punched and kicked like a champ.
Megan’s not ~just~ working out more than usual. She’s also eating better. "I like to snack and I like to eat whatever I want to eat. And I just feel like lately, the things that I’ve been eating have been not so good for my body," she said in a week one Instagram video. She even shared a video of herself tossing junk food in the trash with one disclaimer: She’s donating the untouched stuff.
Here. For. It.
