While “Hot Girl Summer” wound down during New York Fashion Week a few months ago, Megan Thee Stallion made a fashionable appearance at Coach’s spring/summer 2020 show. Not only was she front and center in a cool anime graphic tee, glowy eye makeup, and some bling, but she also rubbed shoulders and snapped photos with Anna Wintour, whom she dubbed “Hot Girl Anna” in an iconic Instagram post. Her show attendance might’ve been a little foreshadowing, because fast-forward to now and Megan has officially fronted her very first fashion campaign, Coach’s 2019 holiday campaign.
The #WonderForAll campaign not only features Megan, but also Yara Shahidi, Fernanda Ly, Kate Moss, and Miles Heizer. The wintry campaign, which was shot by German photographer Juergen Teller, makes winter look chic, which we all know is not always the case. In the campaign, Megan appears on a merry-go-round pony, which we’d argue is pretty on-brand for “Thee Stallion.” Posing with her very long braided ponytail, Megan wears a black vinyl coat and thigh-high boots, showing off Coach’s new Tabby bag. The $395 bag is a modern take on the brand’s 1970s Coach design. The entire family of Tabby bags are the perfect statement for winter, and Megan definitely has sold me on it!
Job well done on your first fashion campaign, Megan! We can’t wait to see what the rising star does next. And if anyone is searching for what to get their friends for the holidays, it’s safe to say Coach is officially hot girl approved.
