Megan Fox Just Debuted a "Blue Jeans" Bob

She traded baby pink for baby blue.

In the age of the internet, you need to be vigilant online come April Fool's Day. There are too many fake products, brand deals, and transformations out there; it's hard to know who to trust.

Megan Fox was one person I thought I had pegged as a prankster. On April 1, she posted a carousel of pink hair photos to Instagram, captioning it "in memoriam of my pink hair era february 2024-april 2024." In all honesty, I thought it was a gag. If only because... how could it be over so soon?? We'd just gotten used to the cotton-candy locks. But ultimately, this lady does not joke around.

On April 2 (that's how you know it's not a joke), Fox's hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos shared a post to Instagram detailing the 37-year-old's new 'do, proving she really did trade in her rosy shade. Instead of returning to her signature black hair she's gone full "blue jeans" with an icy baby-blue, also switching up her medium-length waves in favor of a blunt bob.

In his post, Giannetos noted that he was the mind behind the new color, cut, and style. To get the perfect denim hue, he used L'Oreal Paris FÉRIA hair color in the smoky blue shade Sapphire Smoke ($13), a DIY dye kit that's likely stocked at your local drugstore if you're feeling particularly inspired. (Though I can't promise it'll look this good, Giannetos is a true professional and that dark root is something special.)

In the post's comments section, fans quickly complimented the new look, with many finding it hard to believe it was her real hair. To remedy this, Giannetos added the hashtag "not a wig" to the end of his caption. Again, a professional.

"How is she not bald changing the color like that since her natural hair is black? Not a hater, I’m really asking how," wrote one fan, while another commented that the shade brings out Fox's bright blue eyes.

If Fox does come out and say this was a joke, I'll be extremely surprised—and maybe even sadder than I was when I heard she was getting rid of the pink. It looks good!!! No joke.
