Ariana Grande has come a long way since playing adorable airhead Kat on Nickelodeon’s Victorious. She's won two Grammys; landed five No. 1 albums; and amassed more than 377 million followers on Instagram, where she remains one of the most sought-after stars on the platform. Plus, she runs a beauty line and continues to act—she's currently in production for the film adaptation of Broadway's Wicked, in which she'll portray Glinda the Good Witch.

In the midst of expanding her empire, Grande met and married luxury real-estate agent Dalton Gomez. The couple has remained relatively private since—even as TMZ now reports that they are headed toward divorce. Here is everything we know about their relationship.

Who is Ariana Grande’s husband, Dalton Gomez?

Dalton Gomez is currently the director of luxury estates division for the Aaron Kirman Group, a luxury real-estate firm that operates out of Beverly Hills, California. According to his company profile, he is "highly sought after for his extensive knowledge in the fields of significant architecture and luxury estates" and is "quickly becoming an industry leader."

A source once told People that Gomez is "focused on work" and "low-key."

"He likes keeping his relationship with Ari private," the source said. "They have been able to get to know each other in peace."

Gomez is also creative. According to Grande, he’s the one who came up with the video concept for her song “Positions.”

Plus, he helped jeweler Jack Solow design Grande's engagement ring and wedding band.

How did Ariana Grande and husband Dalton Gomez meet?

Grande reportedly met Gomez while he was on the job—she needed a realtor to help find her a house. “When she saw him, she immediately thought he was cute and very good-looking, and she asked her team to set up an in-person meeting with him,” a source spilled to Us Weekly. “Ariana fell very hard for Dalton shortly after they met.”

They reportedly hit it off right away. In February 2020, TMZ dished that Grande had been seen kissing a mystery man in a random California bar.

Fans first got a glimpse of Gomez a few months (and one start of a pandemic) later, in the video for “Stuck With You,” Grande's early-pandemic duet with Justin Bieber about being stuck in quarantine with someone you love.

After the release, everyone knew Grande was seeing a new guy–even if they both wanted to keep it quiet. “Ariana doesn’t want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton,” a source said.

When did Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez get engaged?

Fans found out that Grande was engaged on Dec. 20, 2020, when she posted a series of photos alongside the caption "forever n thensome." The pics included shots of her and Gomez lounging together on the floor, as well as close-ups of Grande's left hand adorned with an unusual bauble: a ring with both an oval-shaped diamond and a round pearl set next to one another on a thin gold band.

How much was Ariana Grande’s engagement ring?

Estimates have placed Grande's engagement ring at about $200,000 to $250,000. “[Gomez] had very strong feelings about how he wanted [the engagement ring] to look a contemporary kind of way,” jeweler Solow later explained about the custom engagement ring. “It was his idea to do the diamond on an angle and he said to me we had to incorporate a pearl into the finished piece because it is very sentimentally special, the element of a pearl is very, very sentimentally special to Ariana. He wanted to include that in the ring."

What makes pearls so "sentimentally special" to Grande? She tweeted years before she met Gomez that her grandmother once had a ring made for her that incorporated a pearl from her grandfather's old tie pin; Grande's "Nonna" dreamed the pearl would protect her, Grande said on social media.

When did Ariana Grande get married?

Grande and Dalton were married on May 15, 2021, in Montecito, California. The singer's rep confirmed at the time, "It was tiny and intimate—less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

Grande wore a custom Vera Wang dress with a plunging back for her big day.

Who was invited to Ariana Grande’s wedding?

For such a big star, Grande had a tiny wedding. With fewer than 20 people, there wasn’t much room for celebs—plus, some famous folks were invited but couldn’t attend for COVID-related reasons. For instance, Grande’s longtime friend and former Victorious co-star Liz Gillies wasn't able to make it.

“I could not get off of work [from The CW's Dynasty] to go to her wedding because we would have to be cleared for like seven days to fly,” Gillies said. “So not only could I not tell anybody, I also couldn't even ask for the day off and I couldn't get the day off. I would have been there."

Did Ariana Grande marry Pete Davidson?

No. Grande and Davidson were engaged in 2018, until shortly after the death of Grande's ex Mac Miller. Davidson said that Miller’s death changed things between him and Grande. “I was like, ‘Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here,’” he shared in an interview. “I pretty much knew it was over after that. That was really horrible... All I do know is that she really loved the s--t out of him.”

Later, Grande downplayed her relationship with the comedian. “I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction,” she told Vogue in 2019. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him.”

Davidson responded by discussing Grande in his Netflix standup special, Alive From New York. “Can you imagine if I did that?" he said, referencing Grande's Vogue interview. "My career would be over tomorrow if I spray-painted myself brown and hopped on the cover of Vogue Magazine and just started s----ting on my ex.”

Davidson isn’t the only celeb Grande has dated. She wrote “Thank U, Next” about her exes, including Davidson, Miller, Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez, and the lessons she learned from them.

What is Ariana Grande’s husband’s net worth?

Gomez’s net worth is reportedly in the ballpark of $20 million, as he regularly deals with multimillion-dollar houses for work.

Does Ariana Grande have a daughter?

Some fans speculated that Grande got married so quickly because she had a bun in the oven. That turned out to be false. On The Voice, though, when it was time to choose teams as one of the Season 21 coaches, Grande told one singer she’d have a baby to get the contestant on board. Not surprisingly, Grande walked back her offer!

Are Ariana Grande and her husband, Dalton Gomez, getting a divorce?

That is the rumor. On July 17, 2023, TMZ reported that Grande and Gomez have been separated since January and are heading toward divorce. According to the outlet, the young couple tried to reconcile their differences but couldn't make it work. That said, they "remain friends and still talk on the phone regularly."
